We are very excited to share some great news for those who want to learn to fly powered paragliders!
From March 24th-31st, 2014 US National Champion Paramotor Pilot and multiple World Record holder Ryan Shaw will be joining Eric Farewell at the Aviator PPG flight school in Central Florida for a week long intensive training!
This is a prime opportunity for any one who has been interested in learning to fly paramotors and wants to learn from one of the best pilots in the world. We are thrilled to have Ryan here and honored to be offering this training.
Each day of training Eric and Ryan will work side by side with each student demonstrating practical tools for fun, safe flying and offering experience on some of the best quality gear available (use of the gear you'll need to learn is included in the fee, no added rental costs!) including brand new Dudek gliders and beautiful Nirvana paramotors.
The training facilities Aviator PPG offers are truly exceptional sites with a brand new classroom for ground school training and lots of lake side fields for safe practical experience in laminar air.
This opportunity is open only to a limited number of pilots so please register below.
What Is Included?
This is a full course to learn the ins and outs of powered paraglider flying, maintenance, and ownership. The course provides the skills and knowledge you need to confidently fly on your own or with friends. Learn about your equipment, how to launch safely, fly expertly, and land with ease!
Get the fundamentals of maintenance, weather, airspace and aviation laws plus many other tricks that would take years to learn on your own. We only allow a few students per instructor so space is very limited. Ryan and Eric also offer free refresher courses to all of our students (in Arizona, or Florida!) any time you want to learn something new or perfect a skill, we are here to serve, any time.
In addition to all of that, you will also be awarded a PPG2 certification from the USPPA upon completion of this course and the subsequent tests... AND we will also have a limited run of graduation certificates and t-shirts for pilots who are able to join us for this special training.
For a more detailed listing of what we'll be teaching click here.
As with all AviatorPPG training sessions, we've designed our training in two distinct phases... Phase one being 7-10 hour days filled with kiting practice, ground school, and practical experience (all led at a pace that is based on each student's ability and stamina) and phase two being more focused on sunrise and sunset flying sessions.
Weather allowing we generally spend at least one day of our training on a beach as well so pilots can experience coastal kiting and flying as well as inland air operations in every kind of safe flying condition possible. Our goal is to help each pilot return home with the skills they need to be a well rounded, safe, and adventurous pilot.
Despite the extraordinary circumstances of this training's location, faculty, and exclusivity, the cost for training is still just $1,500 the exact price that both Ryan, and Eric normally charge for their training with just one of them!
As added value, you'll be using some of the best gear on the planet and have the exclusive attention of two of the most passionate pilots and instructors in the powered paragliding world.
We here at Aviator PPG are truly thrilled to offer this training and happy to partner with Paradrenalin to bring you such a unique opportunity. While the number of student spots is extremely limited and this may well be a once in a life time occurrence, we still wanted to keep the costs reasonable so that any one passionate about the sport can be involved.
There is no "fine print" with this training that you may find with others. No need to buy equipment before you come, or to purchase equipment before you leave. We will of course have gear here for you should you want to take some home, and we'd love for you to support our families... But your first flights are welcome to be on our motors and gliders (at no added cost)... We are so excited to help you join us in the air!
On the Historic Register, the Chalet Suzanne has been in operation as a country inn and restaurant since 1931.
It is home to a five star dining room and 28 guest rooms that are each completely unique and different... A perfect place to bring your loved ones to relax as you embark on the adventure of a lifetime! It is also the current location of the Annual paramotor fly in "Wings Over Winter".
We are excited to partner with the Chalet to offer very competitive rates for our student's lodging, camping, and of course, to eat their incredibly delicious breakfasts! Other local options are available for all budgets or hotel preferences (full information on all of them will be in the welcome package you'll receive upon registration).
(All inclusive packages are available as well, feel free to inquire for more details)
Lake Wales, FL is in a prime location for paramotor flight and training... Situated almost precisely between the East and West coasts of Florida we're just far enough away from Orlando and Tampa to have nearly wide open skies and to be located in one of the most aviation friendly counties in the US... Yet close enough to both cities to make air fare affordable and trips to the beach as simple as can be.
Not to mention the fact that the orange groves, lakes, and small rolling hills of the Florida Ridge create a unique landscape to explore for hours and hours. Take a moment to enjoy the videos at this link and the photos below!
We truly look forward to this training and hope to see a great group of eager new pilots on our first day of training! We live to share the joy of the skies with each person we teach and are so blessed to be in a position to help you experience something new that we love to much....
